Emergency Medical Technician Basic:

Meets the Department of Transportation’s requirements for EMT. The EMT will be trained to perform accurate patient assessments, administer emergency care based on those findings, assist patients with medication, manage cardiac arrest including CPR and semi-automatic defibrillation, advanced airway management including oxygen therapy and EOA, control hemorrhage, splint fractures, take vital signs, treat spinal injuries, lift and move patients safely, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be eligible to take the National Registry practical and written exams. Course includes all materials and the practical exam. Approximately 120 hours. $650.00



Emergency Medical Technician Refresher:

Meets the Department of Transportation’s requirements for bi-annual refresher training. General EMT review and preparation for the associated practical exam. 24 hours. $175.00 including the practical exam.



Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate:

Meets and exceeds the Department of Transportation’s requirements for EMT-I. The EMT-I will perform all the skills of the EMT and be trained in: advanced patient assessment, IV fluid therapy, limited pharmacology, the pathophysiology and management of shock, advanced airway management including ETC and ETT, advanced cardiac arrest management including manual defibrillation and pharmacology, leadership role in medical scene management, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be eligible to take the National Registry practical and written exams. Course includes all materials. Emergency room and/or ambulance ride time is a critical component of this program. Prerequisite: current or pending NREMT-B. Approximately 120 hours. $700.00



Intermediate Refesher:

Meets the National Registry of EMTs biannual recertification requirements for mandatory 12 hour ALS continuing education for Intermediates. Cost: $100.00



First Responder:

The United States Department of Transportation sets the minimum hours of training and curriculum for this program. The Academy’s class exceeds these requirements in hours and material covered. The First Responder will recognize and treat life threatening emergencies with thorough patient assessment, manage the cardiac arrest with CPR and semi-automatic defibrillation, provide oxygen therapy and other airway management control, control hemorrhage, splint fractures, identify and manage medical emergencies, take vital signs, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be eligible to take the National Registry practical and written exams. Course includes all materials and testing fees. Approximately 60 hours. $375.00



First Responder Refresher:

Meets the Department of Transportation’s requirements for bi-annual refresher training. General First Responder review and preparation for the associated practical exam. 12 hours. $150.00 including the practical exam.



Basic First Aid:

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Adult:

Meets the American Heart Association’s requirements for adult only CPR. The student will be trained to perform adult CPR and to manage adult choking emergencies. More info to follow.
